ABSTRACT

In the modern scenario, the multi-unit repairable system has been used in high-tech industries instead of a single unit system. It is crucial for many industries that these systems achieve their aim. These systems have been designed to safety and reliability requirements with redundancy to be fault coverage, due to lack of time, their affordability and estimated reliability of the system (Rahman 2014). Due to the huge investment on the repairable system, the warranty and its proper maintenance are scrupulously required and also take care of cost benefits (Sharma et al. 2009). In order to attain maximum profit, it is also necessary that the system has a fixed warranty period and that it be maintained or serviced by an expert engineer because these failures cause much inconvenience in addition to their economic impact. System reliability is reliant upon proper utilization and maintenance. It is vital for the customer/user that the system is how much reliable and which type of maintenance, it require. Users have greater apprehension because they have become extravagant due to the sophistication of the systems. A fixed warranty period offered by manufacturers gives the users peace of mind. In addition, after the analysis of the system failures, they can ascertain the required type of maintenance and repair facility (Ebeling 2004, Kadyan 2013, Yusuf and Koki 2013, Ram et al. 2013).
