ABSTRACT

In nature, the tropical rain forest is perhaps the best natural example of nearly complete recycling. Demands of plant growth are supplied by decay and decomposition of an equivalent amount of previous growth. Acid rain is an important part of the recycling of the nutrients that form gasses in their cycling. The planet earth is a spaceship, orbiting endlessly around the sun. Its orbit is controlled by its speed and by the mutual attractions of the sun and other orbiting bodies. Use of ash from the incineration of dead decaying waste matter from plant growth offers the best possible source for the solid nutrients. Variation in the ratio between carbohydrates and amino acid containing compounds will change the proportion of the carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur atoms. If the environment is to be saved from creeping acidity, man must intercept the flow of the ten nutrients and recycle them to the higher, acidic areas.
