ABSTRACT
The Conference for Food Protection recognizes the need for a model Unicode for food protection and sanitation in retail food establishments (retail food stores, food service establishments, and food vending machines). It also emphasizes that the process used to develop a Unicode should include the formation of a task force of representatives of key national organizations, both regulatory and industry, to work with the Food and Drug Administration on a cooperative and consensus basis.
