ABSTRACT
The trichome-forming bacteria are a group of organisms that form unbranched filaments of cells. The word “trichome” is derived from the Greek “trichoma”, meaning hair growth; it is a botanical term used to denote a thread of cells, resulting from division in one plane, that are held together by a common wall layer or sheath.
