ABSTRACT
Responding to community right-to-know initiatives is a project often assigned to those persons already responsible for hazardous waste management. The community right-to-know program is administered by EPA and newly established state and local entities. However, the focus of this program is much more broad than industrial and hazardous wastes. Emergency planning and community right-to-know efforts are concerned with hazardous chemicals, as defined by OSHA, and those subsets of hazardous chemicals termed “extremely hazardous substances” (EHS) and “toxic chemicals.”
