ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some background for, and the outline of, an industrial maintenance management tool developed for PC use in assessment and planning of maintenance programmes for production equipment. The basis for these programmes starts at the top management definition of company objectives, plans and needs, and ends at the ten-point logical steps analysis of the RCM reliability centred maintenance structure. The aim is to ensure high production quality and availability, together with safety, at a cost-efficient maintenance achievement.
