The Knowledge Engineering Section at SRD exploit knowledge based systems techniques to produce software for use in Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSAs). This paper described one of these software projects in detail, SAPIEXT (SRDs All Purpose Integrated EXpert Tool), and briefly desribes some other applications.
