ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the hormone, its function, biosynthesis, and transduction. Carotenoid is a prerequisite compound for Strigolactone (SL) biosynthesis. Primarily, SL structure consists of four rings. These four rings are grouped into two main moieties. One is butenolide and the other is tricyclic lactone. The crucial function of SL was gradually clarified. On the whole, SL function can be considered in two regions: the rhizosphere and the internal structure of plants. Nutrient stress is due to the availability and accessibility of micro-, and macronutrients in the rhizosphere. Salinity is the excessive salts accumulated in the soil surrounding plants. Salinity is the excessive salts accumulated in the soil surrounding plants. Biotic stress can lead to severe losses in plants by the damages caused by herbivore attack and/or pathogens. Transcription Factors play critical roles in response to a vast range of environmental stresses via regulating the pattern of gene expression.
