The application of plant protection products plays a key role in the production of most crops. Methods of application depend on the type of crop being treated, with the main ones being:
• Field crops – mainly treated with boom sprayers; • Bush and tree crops – treated with air-assisted or tunnel-type sprayers; • Glasshouse and specialist food crops – treated with purpose-designed and -built
equipment – often at small scale, manually operated and with handheld delivery systems.
