ABSTRACT
In the recent era, several scientists have focused their interest towards material synthesis without many toxic effects towards the environment. Failure of crop growth due to insect pests has been reported earlier. People have adapted many methods, from rotational cultivation to the use of insecticides and pesticides, to protect crops from these insects. Even though it is easy to purchase pesticides and spray on crops, this leads to several side effects to the environment and also the food chain of living beings. In order to overcome these disadvantages, nontoxic nanomaterials have been used. These eco-friendly nanomaterials act as cheap pesticides that do not have any side effects towards the food chain. The current chapter comprises a report about green synthesis of nanomaterials, which play a major role as agrochemicals.
