ABSTRACT
The proton transfer reaction is considered to be one of the most important and fundamental processes in chemistry and life sciences [1, 2]. In 1950s, Weller observed abnormally huge Stokes shift in salicylic acid, which was not found in very similar ortho-methoxybenzoic acid and its other derivatives.
