ABSTRACT
Thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAAAs) by definition traverse the diaphragm and involve portions of both the thoracic and the abdominal aorta. Therefore, thoracic aortic control is required for repair. These aneurysms can extend proximally to the transverse aortic arch and distally to the abdominal aortic bifurcation.
