ABSTRACT
Excellent results can be expected after cardiac transplantation for children and adults with congenital heart disease.1 In order to achieve these excellent results in recipients with complex cardiac anatomy, the surgical team must have a variety of specific technical strategies available in their armamentarium.2-9 This chapter will review the technical strategies that may be necessary for successful cardiac transplantation in those recipients.
