ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: This paper looks at fluency development for learners of English as a foreign language. It describes the nature of fluency and a range of activities for developing fluency across the four skills, and looks at linked skills activities in detail. It describes the conditions needed for fluency development and the evidence that fluency activities work. It also suggests focuses for further research in this area.
