ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This research was conducted to reveal the implementation of utilizing iBooks in teaching EFL reading comprehension and the benefits the challenges gained by teachers and students. It was a case study which involved qualitative data collecting techniques such as observations, interviews, and documents examination. Data were collected from 32 participants: one of them is the researcher as an instructor, the main participant observer. The instructor used the iBooks application in iPad for helping the students in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) reading comprehension. The result shows that iBooks had altered the teaching and learning experience of teachers and students through a new respective teaching EFL reading. It acknowledged the gained benefits as it could assist instructor to teach EFL reading easily and help the students to read the EFL text in different and pleasant ways. Further challenges and drawbacks are discussed in the remaining sections.
