ABSTRACT

There is a global calls to prepare for climate change impacts, and the role of coastal cities to respond to it under their sustainable living approaches. Climate resilience is a term that is usually linked to the fields of climate induced disaster management and mitigation, but today has become an integral part of planning and design of comfortable cities. Climate change can affect coastal areas in a variety of ways. The impacts of climate change are likely to worsen problems that coastal areas already face. Confronting existing challenges that affect manmade infrastructure and coastal ecosystems. Thus making coastal cities climate resilient by designing a framework of strategies for climate change impact adaptation and mitigation has got great relevance in the current scenario.
