ABSTRACT

In this paper, we map methods of aircraft refueling and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of hydrant refueling compared to refueling by fuel trucks. The case study discusses the suitability of implementing a hydrant distribution system of aircraft fueling at Prague/Ruzyně Airport. According to the current state, the suitability of the hydrant distribution system is assessed in terms of three aspects, namely the annual aviation kerosene flow rate, the effect on the level of operational safety and the impact on the turnaround time. On the basis of data collection, the implementation of the hydrant distribution system is recommended with reference to the results of the SWOT analysis. Specific measures are suggested to mitigate the impact of identified weaknesses and to prevent the occurrence of threats.
