ABSTRACT
Biocomponents are very often used as additives of diesel and gasoline, including aviation gasoline. Direction of research, conducted by leading aviation companies indicates that biocomponents will be in the near future, very significaly additiveto aviation turbine fuel. This paper describes the analysis and conclusions related to the use biocomponents as additives of Jet A-1 fuel. The paper contains of the results of tests for blends of fuels Jet A-1 with biocomponents added in concentration of 0÷10% (V/V). Article presents both the advantages and disadvantages regarding this solution. Conducted tests showed, used tested biocomponents decreases value of flash point, very strongly changes the course of the distillation curve and increase conductivity and of Jet A-1 fuel. We can also observe a very beneficial effect on the composition of the exhaust gases from the environmental point of view.
