ABSTRACT

Soil properties have spatial and temporal distribution which are affected by soil-inherent and unnatural properties. Acquiring soil properties map is necessary to manage soil and evaluate environment. The present research was aimed to investigate the spatial distribution of Soil Organic Matter (SOM). To survey the spatial distribution of OM, geostatistics and geostatistical model combined with Fuzzy logic were evaluated. According to the results, the Gaussian model was selected as the best-fitted model for the semi-variogram of organic matter with an effective radius of 2550 meters and r2 = 0.88 in the ordinary Kriging model. Also based on the combined model of Fuzzy geostatistic variogram, the exponential model was selected as the best-fit model with an effective radius of 2000 meters and r2 = 0.90. The results showed that the combined model of Fuzzy geostatistic with RMSE, MAE and MBE 0.09, 0.00042 and 0.06 respectively has acceptable accuracy in characterizing the spatial distribution of soil organic matter.
