ABSTRACT

The methodology of soil-reclamation survey of irrigated agricultural lands using field survey, satellite images and specialized software packages has been actively used in these latter days. The researches were carried out on the territory of the irrigation system of Alsheyevsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The soil cover of the study area is generally homogeneous and the soil is diagnosed as agro chernozem (type). These soils were formed in uniform conditions, under the same type of vegetation, on deluvial carbonate yellow-brown clays and they are characterized by similar properties. Some differences in the meso- and microrelief determined the different soil depth, the degree of humus content and the degree of erosion. In the study area, both a field soil-agrochemical survey and a computer processing of multispectral satellite images were carried by synthesizing and clustering. Also geomorphologic profiles of the studied territory were also constructed on the basis of geoinformation data.
