ABSTRACT
The rapid growth in the industrial sector of Cikarang is impacting on many areas of life such as population migration of those of working age. This has led to a situation where workers and companies have not thought to bridge the transportation problems of workers (which will ultimately have an impact on the effectiveness of the company’s business). Some companies have provided buses or shuttle vehicles for its employees and a few workers have taken the risk of buying two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles). The problems that arise in choosing a mode of transportation that will be used for work, are of interest to this study. Factors that affect a person’s choice of mode of transportation, be it travel time, security, comfort as well as costs incurred, will be analyzed using the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
