ABSTRACT

Employee engagement in the workplace is very important, especially in pursuing competitive organizational advantages. It can be developed through transformational leadership, psychological empowerment and affective commitment. This study involves explanatory research that will explain the causal relationship between the variables through hypothesis testing. The sample in this study was collected from 132 respondents. The statistical method used was partial least squares regression. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership is positively related to employee engagement, and that psychological empowerment and affective commitment partially mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement.
