ABSTRACT

As, we have already discussed in last chapter, that non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) through media awareness are found useful in reducing the burden of certain infectious diseases from the particular environment [189]. In the present chapter, we proposed and analyzed a SIRS epidemic model incorporating disease induced immunity and media awareness to control the epidemics. Here, we consider the media induced transmission rate as β (I˜) = βe−m

I˜ N˜ and min{β (I˜)} = βe−m

remains unchanged with respect to the total population size. Also, the movement of the population is instantaneous from one compartment to another.
