ABSTRACT

In recent years, graphene oxide is considered to be a “magic” material due to its promising properties. Graphene oxide is used in many applications and for sure in decontamination technology as adsorbent material. Moreover, graphene oxide is thought to be one of the most widely-known additives in membrane technology for separation applications in the organic–inorganic nanohybrids. This chapter is a summary of some very recent contributions and results of this research field. The characterization of the graphene oxide nanohybrid materials are analyzed in details in applications of advanced treatment of wastewater and many examples of this use are given. Characterizations are given by AFM, XRD, FTIR, and SEM techniques.
