ABSTRACT
Because of the wide range of skills and knowledge needed to understand the problems faced by people with cognitive impairment, it is essential that research work in this field should be multidisciplinary, including psychologists, members of the health and therapeutic professions, and engineers. It is also vital to involve potential users of the technology as partners in the research at all stages of development.
