ABSTRACT
Beta Cell Function Beta cell function was assessed by a combined sequential glucagon meal test. After an overnight fast and without insulin administration prior to the test, subjects were given 10 llg/kg glucagon intravenously. The C-peptide response was measured for 120 min, after which a standard meal was administered and the C-peptide response followed for a further 180 min.
