ABSTRACT

T cells from MS patients. When different subsets ofT cells were assessed for FeR expression in the resting state and in response to activation, two distinct patterns were found: activation through the T cell receptor (TCR), which induced de novo expression of multiple classes of FeR on T cells (CD4+/TH2 cells and some subpopulations of yS TCR+ cells) (50,51) and the constitutive expression of FeR (52). This pattern may be of importance in MS, where FeR modulation by IVIG can affect immunoregulatory activity.
