ABSTRACT
The term assisted cognition (AC)3 has been coined to describe systems that use sensor data to determine the activities that a person is trying to perform and optionally provide prompts, warnings, or other kinds of interventions to help the person perform the activities safely and independently. Research in AC combines ideas from sensor networks and ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and human-computer interaction (HCI).
