ABSTRACT
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have become important tools in efficiently solvingmany problems in which spatial data is important. Natural resources and environmental concerns, including groundwater, have benefited greatly from the use of GIS. This chapter provides a brief introduction to GIS and some of its applications in addressing groundwater issues.
