5.1 Overview Tele-traffic modeling provides a significant and efficient manner in evaluating and optimizing wireless mobile network performance. Traditionally, wireless network performance is studied by considering the limited bandwidth in the radio interface, which may lead to a connection request rejection or an ongoing service termination (e.g., [17]). On the other hand, it is well known that wireless communication systems are also characterized by the highly unreliable wireless link. Consequently, it is reasonable and equally important to take into account the wireless link unreliability in investigating the wireless network’s performance.
