ABSTRACT
Several recent volumes have been devoted to the use of, and advances in, synthetic and mineral oil based lubricants [1,2]. In addition, a comprehensive treatment of critical cleaning has recently been published [3]. This chapter, however, is the first time that the interdependent relationship of these two important areas of practical technology has been addressed as an independent topic.
