ABSTRACT
Global climate change is a result of high atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases (mainly CO2, N2O, CH4, and fluorochlorocarbons). Experts predict an increment of the average global temperature of 3°C to 5°C by the end of the present century if the accumulation of these greenhouse gases
(GHGs) continues (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change [IPCC], 2001).
