ABSTRACT
Unless the scientist reads outside her or his field, or takes a sociology class and learns how Kuhnian paradigms as “cultural baggage” lead humans by the nose in all they think and do, one can go through life ignorantly believing that science is detached, objective, factual, unmythic, and withal goal-setting.
