ABSTRACT

Grazing land is comprised of rangeland and pasture. Rangeland is uncultivated land that provides the necessities of life for grazing and browsing animals. Grazing implies the animals’ consumption of standing forage (edible grasses and forbs) by livestock or wildlife, and browsing refers to their consumption of edible leaves and twigs from woody plants (trees and shrubs) (Holechek et al., 1989).
