ABSTRACT
A positive correlation was found between the degree of AE and the frequency of congenital heart defects (10% in AE I, 19% in AE II, and 63% in AE III), other internal malformations and genital anomalies, and the degree of mental retardation (mean IQ was 91 in AE I, 79 in AE II, and 66 in AE III).
