ABSTRACT
The prevalence of alcohol use disorders is variable. The highest levels of use are in Europe and the former Soviet Bloc countries. The population at greatest risk is young Caucasian men; however, the increasing levels of drinking among U.S. college students and pregnant women are a major concern.
