Networked embedded systems support a wide variety of applications, ranging from temperature monitoring to battle field strategy planning [1]. Systems in this domain are characterized by the following properties:
1. Highly connected networks. 2. Numerous memory-constrained end-systems. 3. Stringent timeliness requirements. 4. Adaptive online reconfiguration of computation and communication policies and mechanisms.
