ABSTRACT

In many ways, every business is an information business. Research animal resource units are no exception; they depend upon information to function properly. The better the information, the more effectively the goals of the organization can be reached. Information and the technology to receive and deliver it can be viewed as the glue that holds organizations together. With massive amounts of information available to more and more consumers via electronic networks, organizations have had to adapt to this technology. Information Technology (IT) is a rather new discipline that supports and studies this transfer of information.
