ABSTRACT

Over the years, a large number of studies have been conducted to unravel the pathogenesis of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). CFS has been attributed to a variety of infectious agents, including Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6), cytomegalovirus, enteroviruses, retroviruses, stealth viruses, Borna virus, and Ross River virus.
