Apple’s huge success selling music online has given many content providers confidence that the time of selling low-priced content has really come. A growing quantity and diversity of paid digital content and services (e.g., music, videos, games, economic and financial news, social networks, and online brokerage) are being offered online together with micropayment systems that handle the financial transactions between buyers and sellers. Such systems can turn the simple surfers into customers regardless where they are in the world. It is expected that the market for online en mobile micropayments will increase to US$11.5 billion in 2009 [13].
