ABSTRACT

A Canadian killer appealed his conviction for two rst-degree murder convictions. He murdered Denean Worms, age 20, in October, 1984 at Cranbrook, British Columbia. Terrence Wayne Burlingham had been convicted earlier of the rst-degree murder of Brenda Hughes, age 16, committed in December 1984, also at Cranbrook. is appeal concerned only the trial and conviction for the murder of Denean Worms. At the time of the Worms appeal, Burlingham was serving his sentences of life imprisonment without eligibility for parole for 25 years on both convictions (Regina v. Terrence Wayne Burlingham, 1993).
