ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an overview of the Bayesian framework to analytic methods for public health data and time-to-event data in clinical trials, including parametric survival models. Section 6.1 presents an overview of Bayesian methods of analysis, with an application of these methods to public health data provided in Section 6.2. Section 6.3 provides a brief overview of the commonly used Weibull and Exponential parametric survival models for time-to-event data. Section 6.4 shows an example of Bayesian methods for time-to-event data in a clinical trial, while Section 6.5 concludes the chapter with a discussion.
