Pharmacists play an important role in patient care and safety. Recent reviews of the literature show that pharmacist interventions have a positive impact on patient outcomes.3-6 In order to make evidence-based decisions about patient care, pharmacists must know how to access and evaluate the current medical literature.7 Database and Internet search skills are essential, yet these skills are sometimes lacking.
