Radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensor networks are two wireless technologies that will soon become an integral part of everyday life. Each of them has many potential applications in ubiquitous and pervasive computing.Onone hand,RFIDhas experienced a very fast growth in the industry, in both technology and applications. On the other hand, sensor network technology has attracted tremendous attention in the research community. This chapter attempts to bridge the gap between industry and academia focuses. We present a study of using RFID and sensor networks in the application of health care. This is an exceedingly important area as the growth of aging population is becoming a universal, worldwide phenomenon and an impeding social issue.
