ABSTRACT

Body guarding is all about people. It is about operating in an overt and clandestine manner to ensure the safety and security of clients-at all costs. In professional circles, it is all about people who believe that with every step they take and every move they make, there may be someone somewhere who knows (many of them believe “only God knows”), who may have them in the hair cross of a sniper’s telescope, or who wants to draw them into an ambush where they have to shoot or fi ght it out to survive (Lonsdale, 1995; Pienaar, 1997; Ras, 2006, pp. 76-77).
