ABSTRACT
Th is chapter examines critical security issues facing the government of Uganda in view of rapid urban growth, with specifi c reference to Kampala city. Th e chapter also examines the strategies in place to address security concerns, as well as the challenges facing the eff ective implementation of strategies to improve security. Finally, suggestions and recommendations are given on how the security situation in Kampala City could be improved.
