ABSTRACT

The literature on posttraumatic headache (PTHA) appears to be replete with much confusion concerning nomenclature. Oftentimes, clinicians incorrectly assume that because someone has complaints of PTHA, they have sustained some type of insult to their brain. Individuals may develop PTHA and related disability due to a variety of causes including brain injury, cranial or cranial adnexal injury, and/or cervical acceleration/deceleration injury (Zasler, 1999).
