ABSTRACT

The emerging markets are undergoing tremendous growth by virtue of the changing global market dynamics, business expansion, and socio-economic development. The World Bank’s Global Economic Prospects 2007 predicts that by 2030, about half or more of the purchasing power of the global economy will originate in the developing world. This annual report on the future trends in the global economy also predicts that by then emerging markets will be home to an estimated 1.15-billion-strong middle class.
