ABSTRACT
According to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Network Management Forum, network management should encompass these functions: configuration management, fault management, accounting management, performance management, and security management. Figures 18.1 through 18.6 provide an overview of the network management tasks that automated tools support as well as differences in the level of functionality between simple and advanced products.
