ABSTRACT
As with many of the First Amendment issues we have examined thus far, those associated with freedom of speech and press touch law enforcement in its role as enforcer within society. Congress or another law-making body may deem to suppress speech or press by the introduction of new bills, but it is the law enforcement branch of government that most often confronts these issues on a daily level as it sets about enforcing the laws created by our legislative branch.
